You probably activated the DynDNS Internet Guide, an alternative recursive DNS service, when you installed the DynDNS update client. This changes the DNS server addresses of your TCP/IP settings for your currently active network connection on your PC to 216.146.35.35 and 216.146.36.36. By default there is no blocking enabled at all, beside some malicious sites. If more sites are blocked, then you probably inherited an IP address from another Internet Guide user, who missed to keep his IP address updated for the hostname associated with his defense plan. This means you are using now another user's "defense plan" and its settings. The first measure would be to try to obtain another IP address from your ISP while disconnecting from and reconnecting to the internet, e.g. by powercycling your router. To prevent from happening using another user's defense plan settings in the future, you should setup a defense plan, which you are able to maintain and control yourself. You associate this defense plan with one of your existing DynDNS hostnames or an additional one, and you keep its IP address updated (anyway) with the DynDNS update client. This ensures that you use your settings and not someone else's. Alternatively you can disable the Internet Guide. |

When you installed the DynDNS update client you activated the Internet Guide, DynDNS's DNS servers. This answer tells you how to remove Internet Guide if you want to. |
