I have two identical websites, one ending .co.uk, this one is hosted and it was indexed on google etc.. in under 3 months. The other site ends with http://dnsalias.com and in nine months has not been indexed. I have read as much as I can to find on how this should be but it is all very confusing and I must add the dnsalias site can be viewed from anywhere on the external IP. I read a response from google to someone who is having the same problem as me and they were more or less told to get the site hosted to have it indexed. I would rather host my own site than pay a host but what is the point of trying to do this if it is never going to be indexed. The dnsalias site has never been off line as the laptop is on 24 hrs a day and I use ddclient. I would please like a strait answer can a dnsalias. com site be indexed. The reason for the two sites is I would drop the the hosted site when it is to renew in about three months if the other one can be indexed. |

Only Google can tell you why they do or don't index a site. That said, if they index your main site just now then if you moved it to your home Internet connection that shouldn't change anything. Thanks for the replies. So I have two identical sites but different addresses, I don't know if web addresses can put on this forum but I will put it this way one address http://xxxxxx.co.uk this one is hosted and indexed. The other http://xxxxxx.dnsalias.com hosted by myself and has not been indexed in months, they both have the same address beginning. Both sites have a w3schools certificate. You think apart from difference in the address both sites should be indexed. The only difference in the sites is the address so for some reason there lies the problem so I don't know what to do.

Have you submitted it to Google for indexing? Yes nine months ago. I am not sure how I reply.
