PROBLEM: An attempted connection to 74.204.125.138:80 was refused. This typically indicates that there are no services available on that port, but that it is NOT being blocked by a firewall or your ISP.

Of course, I can not see the ipcam.

Do you have any other routers or modems? Does the Linksys have the 74.204.125.138 address?

I'd recommend 2 things:

  1. Disable the update client built into either the router or the camera. Running both will result in your account being blocked for abusive updates.
  2. As covered in this guide try using a port other than port 80, as many routers don't forward their administration port.

I have only one router.

I do not know if my router's ip address is 74.204.125.138. That is what I get when I use http://checkip.dyndns.com.

The update client of the router is disabled (do you mean the DDNS service?). I only have the DDNS service settings on the ip camera (with fixed ip address 192.168.1.105). However, when I try to configure DDNS on the router, it says that the Internet IP Address is 10.72.142.36.

I also tried different ports: 8080, 9090, but I receive the same message. When I enter the ip address 10.72.142.36 with port 80 (or 8080) in the Open Port Tool, I get the following message:

An attempted connection to 10.72.142.36:80 timed out. This typically indicates that traffic to that port is being actively blocked by either a firewall or your ISP.

which is different from the one I get when using the IP address 74.204.125.138 which reads (port 8080 gives the same answer):

An attempted connection to 74.204.125.138:80 was refused. This typically indicates that there are no services available on that port, but that it is NOT being blocked by a firewall or your ISP

Thank you.

If you log in to your router, what IP address does it show against it's WAN interface?

I just read the guide and it seems I have a private address. Is that correct?
