General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hi Comunnity, i am ready to purchase my own custom DynDNS. My question is how to integrate a set of remote locations.

I dont know if i can do it with subdomains or I can do this with DNS Records.

example.

i Will have : http://mynetsolutions.com and wan to control a CCTV recording system at : customer.mynetsolution.com.

This is posible ? What is the best practice to do this ?

Regards

Thanks in advanced .

1 Answer:

There's nothing special - they're all just DNS records - you'll simply use a client at each location to update the relevant hostname. Be aware however that with Custom DNS all clients use the same username and password - the one that also controls your account. This may not be ideal as potentially all your customers have full control of your domain.

Instead you may want to look at Dynect SMB, which allows you to have separate accounts only able to perform updates of specific hostnames.
