General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hello I have a short two letters domain (something like www.yourdomain.xx.xx ) and I am already using as a subdomain of a free hosting so any one register for a free hosting in my web site he gets a nice free subdomain just like .co.cc

but the problem now i do not own the freehosting server because it is provided from another company and they can delete my users when ever they want and also my users can not use their subdomains with any other hosting company

so i am looking for a solution helps me to separate the free subdomain service from the free hosting service

And the subdomains can work like real domains using the dns

So does dyndns offer such a service?

1 Answer:

Assuming you own "xx.xx" then yes. You may want to move your domain registration but in your case I doubt Custom DNS will be enough for you (it has a limit of 75 records and has a single username/password pair for all changes). You'll probably want the Dynect platform. This will cost you quite a bit more (see here for starting prices), but it's significantly more powerful and flexible - you can give each subdomain owner control of only their subdomain for example.

You'll probably also want to discuss your plans with the Dynect folks to ensure you won't trip over some part of their terms and conditions that results in problems for you down the line.
