i have a custom dns, and i'm trying to change the delegation at our DircectNIC registrar to point to the DynDNS servers. when i try to do it, DirectNIC says that http://ns1.mydyndns.org and http://ns2.mydyndns.org are "not a registered nameservers" and refuse to make the changes. how could that be. what am i missing. |

Send an email to support [at] http://directnic.com with the domain you want to update. Some registries, like dot DE, won't update the domain's nameservers if DNS records do not exist on the nameservers. |
|
You'll need to contact DirectNIC and ask them what's going on, there's no good reason for the problem you're describing. Unfortunately there's nothing anybody outside DirectNIC can do to resolve your problem. |

What is the TLD for the domain you are trying to change to those nameservers? |
in support of the question. when do a who is of for the name server http://ns1.mydyndns.org
http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=ns1.mydyndns.org&type=nameserver
i get the following message:
(Results flagged as "NOT AUTHORITATIVE" should be checked with the registrar's whois server.)
Neither object nor interpretation control keyword found
should that be the case?
