General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hello. I have a Router made by ZyXEL. I want to use DynDNS, because i want that other people can connect to my homepage. The ports are opened but if anyone tried to connect to the homepage, it just showed the page of my Router.

Please help me.

Take a look at this post. I'm guessing that your problem is because your router can't forward it's admin port. You'll want to either:

  1. Change the admin port of the router
  2. Forward a different port (say 8080) and use a WebHop to avoid others having to remember it

The other thing I would do is turn off the internet side of the web management. If it is a home computer you should be there often enough to do any management.

I agree that having a router's administration interface exposed on the WAN interface is a big no-no. But some routers have this issue even though the router's own web interface isn't listening on the WAN interface. And, many of the routers that allow this to be changed properly, require you to do so via the CLI, which is a bit too much to handle for many novices.
