I have 2 ip cams. I put one at port 80 and one at port 84 in my router (the virtual server port forwarding). I can always get to the 81 but not the 84. I checked and the port is open. I even switched the cameras (put made the 84 the 80 and vice versa. The other camera now works. I type in my address. http://myaddress.homeip.net:84 but it doesn't work. If I use the 80 a the end it does. Am I typing it in wrong? The funny think is, I had it working before and it seems to have stopped.... |

Are the IP cameras also listening to separate ports (i.e. one listening to port 80 and the other to port 84), or are they both listening to port 80 locally, with port translation as part of the port mapping (e.g. port 84 forwarded to 192.168.0.102:80)? If this is unclear, or phrased in a way that is difficult to understand, please do let me know. By the way, when questions must be answered with new questions, it may be easier to continue the discussion on the community discussion forum. But that is your decision. It's OK to engage in relevant discussion and with follow-up questions on this forum site. The great part is that after a series of threaded discussions and comments on the topic, the "best answer" can be accepted by the original poster, while the community can "vote up" the answers they thought were the best. This way, future visitors to the topic see the "top content" on the topic, and only need to dive into the rest of the discussion if they so choose. different ports... 80 and 84. it started working about an hour later. I think for some reason, it takes a bit of time for the changes to make their way through the system....
