General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I don't know if this is possible of if I'm not understanding some concepts...

Suppose I have a domain, http://example.com. I have a website in a server, with an ip 8.8.8.8, and this domain points do this ip.

What I know is that when someones asks for http://example.com, DNS servers are going to say it is 8.8.8.8. Suppose you changed your servers, and changed your ip: changing the ip, you're going to have to wait for a couple of hours to propagate around the globe.

Is it possible to pay for a custom DNS, so http://example.com points to an ip in your service (like 9.9.9.9), and your service points do 8.8.8.8, and if I need to change servers, I just change the 8.8.8.8, and dont need to wait for a couple hours to propagate?

(Sorry for the poor english)

1 Answer:

By default, host records in Custom DNS have a TTL (Time-To-Live) of only sixty seconds; if you change the IP address for your domain, it should only take a minute (or less!) for that change to fully propagate.

It should take a minute to start propagating, or it should take a minute to fully propagate since I'm pointing my domain to your custom DNS?

It'll take up to 2 minutes to fully propagate
