I just get a red x where the pictures should be?

I see the dvr web interface, log in and then I see all the controls but where the picture is there is just a red x. Much like an image on the web not displaying.

If you are able to reach the camera's interface at all, your DNS is functioning. If you are unable to view the video feed itself (e.g. embedded ActiveX control isn't loading), you will need to contact the manufacturer.

I had a similar problem from work only and determined the throughput rate was too low, it worked fine from other places that had a greater throughput (bandwidth)

I GET SAME PROBLE. BUT MY DAUGHTER CAN GET PICTURES ON HER LAPTOP. SO DONT THINK ACTIVE CONTOL IS ANSWER UNLESS I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ON MY LAPTOP FIRST. ANY MORE IDEAS. JC.

When you say pictures, are you referring to logos and images on the DVR's web interface, or are you referring to a video playback object (a box in which video can be played back)?
