We've just ordered a SSL certificate from GoDaddy. Unfortunately, they can only accept the request though an email verification to the administrative email in the WHOIS record of the domain. What they get is the hostmaster@dyndns.org and they've sent the verification email over to that address. They don't accept our alternative email address provided. I would like to know:
Thanks, Jeff |
What matters is what is in the domain registration, your use of DNS Custom has nothing to do with that. Simply ensure that your domain registration has an address that you control. Then move your DNS hosting to use DNS Custom and update your hostnames in your own domain instead of the free Dynamic DNS hostname. Thanks. What if I park the purchased domain to DynDNS with the Custom DNS service? Will the WHOIS record of the purchased domain be modified, again, to hostmaster@dyndns.org? Or it will be left unmodified so that I can order the SSL cert from other vendors as well? Thanks again. Jeff
