Please try to be specific and unambiguous. It is still hard to be certain of what you mean. When you say "my host", are you referring to your home computer or a third party hosting provider? Do you have a hosting provider? Where is your domain currently registered? |
|
If you have a domain then you'll probably want Custom DNS. You'll also need to use an update client if you want to host any services (web, email etc) on a dynamic IP. As RotBlitz said though, your question is unclear and it's hard to be certain what you need. Update: Thanks for the update, I moved your answer back into the question so that it flows better. You need 3 things:
To direct people to your site simply ensure your A record for the domain, and for www.yourdomain.co.uk point to the hosting platform in question. You'll also want to ensure that your MX records point to a server that is configured to manage the email for your domain, |

You have to use a dedicated server which is available in 5 MB 10 MB or 20 MB or so according to your requirement from service provider by paying some small amount with limited or unlimited numbers of email in specific space on rent on annual basis. Then from your control panel of the domain registration log-in page, you have point out the dns server eg.. http://ns1.dndserver.org or so which is provided by the dedicated server provider. with in 24 hours it will be activated. Then you have to upload your files using ftp uploading software which are available free of cost. The INDEX page should your home page. After uploading you can access your website. |
Please "edit" your message and specify what you mean by "I have a DNS". Does this mean you have a domain registered somewhere and you're searching for a DNS hosting service, associating your domain with content somewhere else?
