General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I read in the news today that http://everyDNS.net was forced to drop Wikileaks because the attacks on Wikileaks "threaten the stability of the http://EveryDNS.net infrastructure, which enables access to almost 500,000 other websites".

If I am not mistaken, http://everyDNS.net is on the same infrastructure as DynDNS. As the owner of a very popular, highly trafficked website, using DynDNS: Can I help protect your infrastructure by moving to another DNS provider?

Please explain why this question was closed? It is not subjective or argumentative; I am asking for a qualitative answer about the relative effect Wikileaks had on their system. Would a legitimately highly trafficked site (not under DDOS attack) also have a deleterious effect on DynDNSs infrastructure and their ability to serve other clients? Thanks.

While your question is not among the offensive and completely unreasonable questions I've seen today, it does invite for a subjective discussion regarding a decision made by http://EveryDNS.net / Dyn Inc.

We, the community, cannot speak on Dyn Inc.'s behalf. Note that staff rarely participate on this site. The DynDNS Community is an arena for exchanging knowledge and experiences with the use of DynDNS services. Questions demanding a further explanation of Dyn's decision to stop serving DNS for a particular domain are clearly "off-topic" here in my opinion.

By the way: I notice that Dyn have posted a couple of updates on EveryDNS.net during the day. Please read there for their latest news on this topic.

I wasn't demanding anything. My question was geared toward Dyn staff; I wasn't aware they "rarely participate on this site". This being the official Dyn forum, I thought they would. If this is a user to user forum, I fail to see how an honest and open discussion about Dyn services could ever be "off-topic". I agree, there have been numerous questions posted here which were little more than pathetic "feel good because now I've done something" snipes at Dyn over their handling of Wikileaks, but that doesn't mean you should go around closing every thread that mentions Wikileaks.

Please ask DynDNS such questions directly - this is a user to user forum, for providing users with assistance. It isn't a place for discussions about DynDNS's policy, business decisions etc.

I was unaware Dyn staff do no monitor these forums and my question would be better suited for them. I think such a discussion could be informative and insightful, but any question addressing that topic would surely be closed as "subjective and argumentative"
