I would like to copy my DNS settings to another DNS provider (Would you believe me if I said it was to set up secondary DNS?). Is it possible to enable AXFR for a domain, or all domains in an account?

1 Answer:

Assuming you're referring to DynDNS Custom, I have certainly never seen such a feature documented anywhere or heard of it. You'd have to manually recreate your records with the new DNS provider.

DynDNS phone support confirmed this. Not available to CustomDNS customers.

Is AXFR support available at all from dyn? We would love to use dyn as our primary dns, but also have a secondary set up (with another dns service) in the case of downtime (like the ddos attacks they've experienced lately). Is this possible?

@jayknight - please ask your own question - having read the answers above that already provide you with the answer.

Actually, I found out via twitter that dyn does apparently offer axfr support with the DynECT platform: https://twitter.com/#!/DynSupport/status/152079438656446465, but I'm still trying to find out more details.
