I'm trying to configure our D-Link router to update our DynDns host IP address on a regular basis so that I can power up my PC remotely and remote to it. I can power it up fine provided the dyndns host has the correct IP, but the router just doesn't seem to be keeping it up to date. Even if I update it in the evening, the next day it has changed and not updated. These are the settings I'm using: Enable Dynamic DNS: Ticked Does this look right? If anyone has any experience with this router and DynDNS or has any advice, I would be very grateful. Thanks! Matt |

I think I may have cracked it. I noticed a stray dot (.) in the username field, which was a leftover from when I tried my email address as the username! I'll find out tomorrow if it's now working. |

That looks to be right for any update client. It sounds like your router has a faulty update client, a common problem. I'd start by checking to see if there is a firmware update available. If there isn't then you'll have to replace it with a known working client or a software client. Thanks! I'll give the firmware update a go and see what happens.
