General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I'm sure that this has been asked before but I can't find it. I have a free account so maybe that's it. Why when I put in my site's name: http://jonathanbell.webhop.net the browser resolves it as http://jonathanbell.webhop.net but when I put "www" in front like: http://www.jonathanbell.webhop.net, it doesn't work?

For sub-domains (such as www) to work, you need to have the wildcard option enabled, which is only available for Dynamic DNS Pro customers.

Just drop the www part, and it should work.

Just a question about wildcards. I have a (free) account since a long time ago, and I have wildcards enabled on one of my hosts. Since how many time are wildcards a part of "DNS Pro" ?

thanks

As far as I can remember, it's almost exactly one year ago. Sure, if you have existing hosts with wildcard already enabled, I believe they will stay that way. However, if you try creating a new host, you will see that the option of enabling it is gone.
