Question 1: Remark: Synology DS110j / Panasonic IP-CAM supports iphone access.

Two form of web links shown above, I can successfully connect to my home server/IP-Cam via a Desktop computer in my two office, so do the router. The two broadband is PCCW and Smartone-vodafone.
However, I CAN'T connect by using iphone via safari as well as i even can't reach my router. I have checked it is not the problem of ISP. The compatability of home server is eliminated as proved in below. My webhosting company told me that it is the protocol or other problems related to http://dyndns.com.

Remark: In the office site, PCCW is my ISP providing fix IP. We host the synology server locally. We didn't apply http://Dyndns.org hosting service as DDNS. I can access to this server via iphone4's safari.

1 Answer:

Do you have Dynamic DNS Pro? If not you cannot use the www. prefix and have to use the hostname as it appears in your account (eg http://xxx.dyndns.org:5050/photo).

If you do, then the problem is nothing to do with DynDNS since all it is providing is a name to IP resolution service. It isn't involved in the connection at all. It may be that Safari is configured to only connect to certain ports, or that your mobile provider limits connections to standard ports.
