How can I configure DynDNS Updater 4.1.5 to detect and report my LAN-internal (i.e., 192.168.0.X) IP address instead of the external WAN address (i.e., 63.194.246.XXX) that http://CheckIP.DynDNS.com sees? |

Short answer - you can't. Long answer - that's not what the Dynamic DNS service is for. There are plenty of solutions for name resolution on a LAN, from integrating the LAN's DNS and DHCP services to using broadcast based name resolution (WINS, UPnP, DLNA etc). If you update your question with the problem you're trying to solve I'm pretty sure somebody will be able to provide you pointers. |
